All fool's day. Pleasant. Washed and ironed. Letter from Bessie. The doctor says I have poison oak and will send me some salts. Says to drink a cup of hot water before breakfast. Lost all my fat weigh 122 again.

Raining again. Turkey dinner. No letters. Josie sick. Wrote to Bessie, Leila, and Belle. Sun came out a little while in evening.

Showery. School. Mr. Orth did not go home until this morning. Hale, Hamann and some others put up a job on him last night and he lost $65. Says he cannot afford to board the boys here any longer and should think not eigher if he keeps on at that rate.

Not very pleasant. Got up about 6. Went down to Senteney's and stayed all night last night. Had a terrible time trying to sleep. Guess they are about down to bed rock. Mr. S. came home in the evening. Guess he had been on a drunk. Package came from Flanagan. Took a bath.

Foggy but warm- showered in the afternoon. Bessie sent me a sateen waist and a cat just as cute as it can be. The waist fits to a T. Mr. Swortzel came out to inspect the Alder Point bridge and let the contract for fixing it.

Pleasant. 26 youngsters. Showered a little. Studied Geog. Mr. Senteney got the contract for fixing the bridge $800. Dora Newman has three pupils.

Rainy this A.M. School. Swept and gave things a general cleaning. Made out the monthly summary. Total enrolled 27. Average no. belonging 22. Average daily att 21.75. Percent .988. The May Day Ball comes off tonight.

Windy. Washed and ironed. Studied. Wanted to go down to see Dora today but could not get a safe horse. Went over to Sloan's, up to Roland's, Harken's and to the town hall where I found Mrs. Curless, Mrs. Prior and Mrs. O'Conner. They want to have another dance tonight. Mr. Frost is in town.
