NEWS: The Book is Finished!

After three years, our project to document local residents' stories about growing up in Blocksburg is complete. Children from Our One-Room Schools is available at local merchants in Fortuna, Eureka, and Garberville.

POSTCARDS
Little Myrtle Murphy was only 9 years old when she fell from an apple tree in 1909. While she was sick she corresponded with friends and family through penny postcards. Myrtle died in 1911 and is buried in the Blocksburg Cemetery.
