Regarding the Alder Point bridge the Beacon says: Supt. Reedy of the Idaho stage line arrived at Ukiah with the news that the late rains had unfitted for use both approaches to the new $18,000 iron bridge over Eel river near the Mendocino and Humboldt county line. This is surely bad news for both counties.
