Big Doings at Blocksburg

There is going to be something doing in Blocksburg next Saturday evening and Sunday. If you haven't heard about it as yet you had better begin looking around, see the posters that are out announcing the big events and make your plans for being there. On Saturday evening, August 23, there will be a big dance. Those that have the affair in charge have obtained good music and at midnight promise you a splendid supper.
It's going to be a big time and they will be there from Garberville as well as all along the road and the other towns in between.
On Sunday, August 24th, comes a baseball game in which teams from Alderpoint and Garberville will cross bats. Both teams have been playing a lot of ball and the team that comes out at the small end of the score is not going to feel so happy as they might for both are determined to win. Make your plans accordingly; let nothing interfere tomorrow evening and Sunday. Have a good time --- Blocksburg is the place.
